Mission of Statement
Operation Smile is a non profit organization supporting the provision of medical services, equipment and treatment for children with facial deformities where medical funding may be limited or unavailable.
- Our Beginning
In 1998, a group of careing individuals with diverse backgrounds, had a vision that was inspired by a nine year old girl who was born with severe mailgnant melanoma of the left eye.
Vanisha Dayal, from Abbotsford, BC, Canada had gone through a major prolonged surgical procedure to remove the tumor when only three months old.
Operation Smile was established with the support from other Organizations,
to raise funds, and make the surgery a reality.
